
A Salem Missouri man faces felony charges for allegedly beating up a man and taking a dirt bike in Texas County. 38 year old Michael D. Warren is charged with second degree assault and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, which are both class D felonies. The incident took place west of Licking Friday night. The Texas County Sheriff’s Department says that a woman stated that her son had been drinking and became violent and law enforcement was needed at a residence, on Slabtown road. While on their way to the residence, the officer was advised that the woman and her son were on parole for murder. The MSHP and Licking PD also were called to assist. A Victim at the scene told authorities that his son’s Honda motorcycle had been stolen by Warren. The Victim also said that Warren had choked him to the point of losing consciousness. Warren was arrested at a Shell station in Licking. He is being held on $500,000 bond and will be in court June 12th.
