The Missouri State Highway patrol and the Attorney Generals office have an investigation under way now at the Texas County Sheriff’s Office. The Press secretary for the Mo attorney General says a Search warrant was executed last week and the investigation is ongoing , but no detail have been released by the Attorney General’s Office or the Highway Patrol. The Missouri Attorney General’s Office says it is aware of complaints against the sheriff’s department and is working with the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney to investigate them. Authorities announced in April that two employees at the office were under investigation. Troop D out of Springfield was assigned to the case and is conducting interviews.
