
A Mammoth Spring woman who is charged with the second degree murder of an elderly Cherokee Village woman has been found fit to stand trial. 57 year old Jennifer Lee Collins, according to reports was serving as a caregiver for the elderly woman when she allegedly assaulted, beat and bit the woman causing injuries to her face, arms, legs and chest. The victim was taken to a hospital where she later died. This is the second mental evaluation for Collins and she has been found fit to stand trial after both. If convicted she could face from 6 to 30 years in prison.
