An Ozark County man accused of murder is granted a change of venue. 31 year old Robert Peat Jr of Zanoni is charged with 1st degree murder, abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death, second degree murder, and tampering with physical evidence. Peat and his wife 40 year old Rebecca Rudd are accused of killing 16 year old Savannah Leckie and burning her body. Peat’s trial will be moved to Greene County and feature a Cole County Jury. His trial starts July 30th If the case against Rudd goes to a bench trial it will begin in November, if it goes to a jury trial it will begin January 28th.
