Ava Man Acquitted On Murder Charges

A man from Ava has been acquitted of charges of second degree murder, armed criminal action and first degree assault by a Douglas County Jury. 67 year old James Lee Aborn and his son 39 year old David Aborn of Sheridan Montana were both indicted in june last year in connection with the shooting death of James Aborn’s Brother, 57 year old John Aborn.  David Aborn will go to trial in February of 2019. According to a news release from Judson Wall and provided by attorney Roger Wall, there had been bad blood between the men for some time. In 2011 John Aborn was arrested and charged after a shooting incident with David Aborn.
