Double Homicide Investigation Continues In Randolph County

Authorities in Randolph County have a suspect in custody in connection with a double homicide.  On Friday the Sheriff’s Office took a report from a family member who said her parents had been missing since early Friday morning.  The family member told authorities that she had made several attempts to contact her parents who lived west of Pocahontas, and that she was concerned about them,  Saturday afternoon around  12:50 p.m., the Randolph County 911 Central Dispatch received a call from the complainant reporting that they had made entry into the residence of her parents and found and discovered the body of her mother, requesting EMS.  The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and Pocahontas Police Department responded to the call, whereas when the officers made entry, where they discovered the deceased bodies of Ricky Bozwell and Rita Bozwell.”  Randolph County Coroner John Paul Thielemier said the bodies have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Thielemier said authorities did respond to a home just off Pyburn Extended.  Authorities are treating the case as a homicide, with Arkansas State Police being requested to assist with the investigation.  The name of the suspect in custody has not been released.
