Thayer Police are reporting a break-in and the theft of a rifle from a home in the area of Tyler and Wyndotte streets on Tuesday. Chief Darryl Childers said that a person came home and found someone in their home. The person took a rifle and left. The Chief said for everyone to be aware of their surroundings if you come home and your homes door is open call the police and if you see anything suspicious call the police. Also anyone in the area of Tyler and Wyndotte streets that might have any information about the break-in Tuesday or might have saw someone or something please contact the police department.
