The death of a Doniphan man reported missing on July 15th has been ruled a homicide. Bruce Ehrenberg was reported missing to the police and during the investigation police received information that led them to believe he was murdered. The Current River major case squad was activated and after numerous interviews leads were followed and Ehrenberg’s body was found in rural Ripley County. A suspect in his death is being held in Butler County. An autopsy is expected. The investigation was a joint effort of the Doniphan Police department, Ripley County Sheriff’s office, Ripley County Coroner, Oregon County Sheriff’s Department, and the Missouri State Highway patrol.
