
The August 7th Primary election is just a couple of weeks away so this week we are taking a look at some of the contested races locally. Today we look at Oregon and Howell counties.
In Oregon County on the Republican ballot for state representative in the 143rd district Jack Bates faces the incumbent Jeffery Pogue, For circuit judge circuit 37, Steven Privette faces Melissa Stewart, For County Clerk, there are three names on the ballot they are Amanda Foulkes Osborn, Stephanie Kernodle and Betty Grooms. On the Democrat ballot two are running for County treasurer they are Becky Shelton and Cassie Shields.
In Howell county on the Republican ballot there are three candidates for State representative district 153, they are David Evans, Larry Lindeman and Carl Ward, there are two running for circuit judge circuit 37 they are Steven Privette and Melissa Stewart, two are running for associate circuit judge division 2, they are Donna Anthony and Todd Thorn. Two people are running for the Dry Creek Township committee woman, they are Tracy Brasier and Roxanne Rupar.
