Tuesday, former Texas County Sheriff James Sigman and his former Chief Deputy, Jennifer Tomaszewski were arraigned on multiple felony charges including, Assault first degree, robbery first degree, endangering the welfare of a child first degree, unlawful use of a weapon, harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child second degree. They are also charged with misdemeanor misuse of information by a public servant and false impersonation.
Tuesday morning, Rowdy Douglas was sworn in as the interim Texas County Sheriff. The County Commission decided to appoint an interim sheriff after they were advised by legal council they could do so.
Also on Tuesday, Licking Chief of Police Scott Lindsey announced that he would seek the Republican nomination for Sheriff in Texas county in the November general election.
