
This week we have been looking at the local contested races for the August 7th primary. Yesterday, we told you about Douglas and Ozark Counties races. Today we check out the contested local races in Texas and Shannon Counties. In Shannon county on the Republican ballot, there are two candidates for State representative district 143, they are Jack Bates and Jeffery Pogue and also two candidates for Circuit judge Circuit 37 they are Steven Privette and Melissa Stewart, On the Democrat Ballot there are two candidates for associate circuit judge, they are Sandra West and Bonnie Keaton. In Texas County there are two contested races on the Republican Ballot, one is for Presiding Commissioner, the candidates are Glenn McKinney, Scott Long and Bill Villapiano. The Other contested race is for county clerk, and the two running are Laura Crowley and Brenda Jarrett.
All Parties in Missouri Counties will also be voting on proposition A, which is a referendum for Right To Work, Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft explains what a referendum is
Again the Primary is August 7th.
