It was a tough night for the St. Louis Cardinals down in south Florida last night. The offense was shut out for 8 innings and the Redbirds lost to the Miami Marlins 2-1. The Cards loaded the bases with no-outs in the 9th, but managed only 1 run, before Yadier Molina hit into a game ending double play.
The Cards and Marlins play again tonight, Miles Mikolas looks for his 12th win.
The Kansas City Royals jumped on top of the Chicago Cubs early at Kauffman last night, but couldn’t hold, losing to the Cubbies 3-1. Javier Baez powered the Cubs offense with a home-run and 2 RBI’s.
