A man already serving time at the state prison in Calico Rock has now been given 8 more years on amended charges. 44 year old Jerry Dean Hopper Jr allegedly threatened his ex-wife, their children and her current spouse and is also accused of luring a woman to his home, where he kept her against her will and physically attacked her. The alleged kidnapping took place in November of last year. Hopper was involved in a high speed chase in 2015 which reached speeds up to 99 MPH and ended when he barricaded himself in his home. At one point they say he was hanging out a window inviting police to shoot him. He was eventually talked into surrendering. He is currently an inmate at the North Central Unit of the State Prison in Calico Rock
