The St. Louis Cardinals with the sweep at Kansas City this weekend. St. Louis broke open a close game in the 7th with RBI singles from Patrick Wilson and Yadier Molina, then added 3 in the 9th, including a 2-run Home-run from Paul DeJong to beat the Royals 8-2, completing the sweep on the road, winning their 5th straight game and 5th straight series.
The Cards pull to within 5 ½ of the lead in the NL Central and now just 2 ½ out in the Wildcard race.
