Parole has been denied for a man from Salesville in prison in connection with a fatal shooting in 2012. 53 year old Johnnie Carl Baker was convicted of manslaughter in 2013 in the shooting death of 65 year old Dennis Franklin Chapman. Baker was sentenced to 10 years after entering a guilty plea to a reduced charge of manslaughter, with an additional 4 years imposed by the court for committing a felony with a firearm.
