The St. Louis Cardinals shut-out the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-0 last night to win their 10th consecutive series. Harrison Bader and John Gant got it started for the Redbirds with back-to-back homers in the 3rd. Jose Martinez added 2 RBI’s in 5th for the Cards.
The win keeps the Cardinals in the #1 Wildcard position headed into the weekend. The Cardinals open a series with the Reds tonight at Busch.
The Kansas City Royals had the night off, they open a series at Kauffman with the Baltimore Orioles tonight.
