Authorities are investigating an armed Bank Robbery in Licking Tuesday morning. The Robbery happened around 9:40 Tuesday morning at the Town & Country Bank on East Highway 32 in Licking. A lone gunman entered the bank and according to reports, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash that was placed in yellow grocery bags in a green and grey colored backpack. The FBI says the man left on foot but may have been in a dark colored SUV. The suspect is described as 5 foot-7 inches to 5 foot-10 inches, 180 pounds and medium build. He was wearing a black hooded University of Missouri sweatshirt, black knit cap, blue jeans and fingerless black gloves. Officers from several agencies canvassed the area, visited nearby businesses and followed up on tips. Assisting the FBI are the Licking Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
