A Mountain Home woman has been arrested for arson. 26 year old Samantha Jo Carter was arrested in connection with an early morning fire Tuesday on Morris Street in Mountain Home. Carter allegedly admitting to using gasoline to ignite a bed and curtains located in a bedroom of the residence. Mountain Home Fire Chief Ken Williams says Carter’s arrest follows a joint investigation between his department and the Mountain Home Police Department. The investigation revealed Carter is the occupant of the home owned by Kathy Beckham. The blaze was contained to the bed and curtains by fire personnel. No injuries were reported. Carter is being held on a $5,000 bond.
