The St. Louis Cardinals rallied to beat the Pirates last night at Busch Stadium 8-7. Down 4-0 early, the Cards tied the game at 4 in the 4th inning with 4 runs in the frame. They scored 4 more in the 8th, powered by a 3-run Home-run from “Big City” Matt Adams. Carlos Martinez gave up a run in the 9th the shut the door, with the help of a “webgem” from Paul DeJong.
The Cards stay in the #2 Wild card spot, 2 games ahead of the Dodgers.
Cards and Bucs play again tonight at Busch.
