Today is Patriot Day 17 years ago today
On this day in 2001, 2977 people lost their lives in a series of airline hijackinigs, committed by 19 militants associated with Al-Qaeda against United States targets. Crashing planes into the twin towers in New York, The pentagon in Washington D.C and in a field just outside Shanksville Pennsylvania. Victims ranged in age from 2 to 85. The 2,977 lives lost makes it the deadliest attacks on American Soil in U. S History.
