The St. Louis opened a key 4 game series with the L.A. Dodgers last night and lost to Clayton Kershaw 9-7. Kershaw was good as the Dodgers built an 8-1 lead early. The Cards rally against the Dodger bullpen fell short. The Redbirds lead in the Wild Card race is now just 1 game over the Dodgers. Cards and Dodgers play again tonight at Busch Stadium.
The Kansas City Royals keep on winning, and beat the Minnesota Twins 6-4 at Kauffman last night. Salvador Perez and Jorge Bonifacio both homered for KC in the victory. Royals and Twins play again tonight.
