A former manager of a retail store in Midway has entered a no contest plea to charges he stole almost $7,000 from the business. 53 year old Danny Inskeep was charged with stealing store deposits July 14 and 15 of last year. The two deposits totaled $6,925. According to the probable cause affidavit filed in the case, Inskeep was captured on the store’s video surveillance system cutting open bank bags used to make deposits for the business and taking the money out of the bags. A bank audit showed both deposits were never made. Inskeep falsely reported making both of the missing deposits. Inskeep was given five years probation and ordered to repay the business for the two missing deposits.
