A man serving time in the state prison on an earlier conviction, was in court last week in Baxter County and sentenced to probation for charges he forged and passed a check on someone else’s account. 32 year old Jonathan Echols was sentenced to four years probation on the new charges. Echols is currently an inmate in the Ouachita River Unit of the state prison system at Malvern.
