Yesterday the National weather service warning and forecast responsibility for Lawrence and Randolph Counties in Arkansas was transferred from Memphis to Little Rock. The National Weather Service says transferring the service will enable more efficient service for the counties. The National Weather Service’s primary mission is to protect life and property from the effects of hazardous weather.
