Monday the Medical Marijuana Commission approved rules to go forward with Arkansas’ program. The Rules include keeping unsuccessful cultivation applications active for the next two years. The Commission says keeping those active would allow then to grant 3 more licenses if the choose. The Commission has granted 5 so far and by law can grant up to 8. They also adopted a rule keeping dispensary applications for 2 years, once they have been scored. They say they want to keep them active just in case a grouop surrenders their license or drops out.
