More details have been released about he standoff between a West Plains Man and police this past weekend. 21 year old Dylan James Dalton allegedly told authorities they were going to have to kill him during the brief standoff that lasted about 20 minutes. Dalton had a one year old child in the vehicle with him during the standoff. Dalton allegedly also had a rifle, meth and large amount of cash. He is charged with 2nd degree assault, armed criminal action, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a controlled substance. The child was taken into protective custody then later released to a family member. Dalton was taken to jail and bond was set at $75,000.
