A man accused of trying to bring contraband into the Baxter County jail was beaten by other inmates a day after his arrest. 45 year old Raymond Scott Chappell was arrested and a jailer found a number of pills hidden in his sock. The next day he was allegedly attacked by 39 year old Waylon Myers, 28 year old Coltin King and 40 year old Jason Chorba. Video Surveillance showed Myers holding Chappel while Chorba and King attacked him. Pulling him from the top bunk to the bottom bunk then to the floor, kicking him in the head. Chappell had to be taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The three inmates have been charged with third degree battery which is a misdemeanor.
