A man from Thayer and an unidentified child were killed in a two vehicle accident Monday morning north of Walnut Ridge. The Arkansas State Police reports that 61 year old Robert Martin of Thayer was killed when he crossed the centerline and hit a vehicle driven by 25 year old Courtney Waddell of Walnut Ridge. A child in the Waddell vehicle also died. Waddell and two other children in her vehicle were injured and were flown to hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The accident happened around 7:30 Monday morning on highway 67.
