A West Plains woman who was injured in an accident Sunday south of West Plains died Monday morning at a hospital in Springfield. 49 year old Candy Gilliam was a passenger on a UTV that was hit head-on by a car Sunday afternoon. Gilliam was thrown from the UTV into a Semi. The Driver of the car 26 year old Robert Mattes of West Plains was charged with Driving while intoxicated involving an accident with serious injuries. careless and imprudent driving, no insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle. The Driver of the UTV 49 year old Ricky Ledbetter suffered serious injuries and was flown to Cox South In Springfield.
