Batesville Man Enters Negotiated Guilty Plea To Negligent Homicide

A Batesville man has entered a negotiated a plea of guilty in connection with an accident that killed a passenger in the vehicle he was driving in September of 2015. 42 year old Sammy Dortch Jr pled guilty to three criminal counts, including, negligent homicide, driving under the influence and reckless driving. Judge Tim weaver sentenced him to one year suspended sentence and ordered him to pay fines and court cost of $2,670.
