A Houston Missouri man was in court Monday for a motion hearing in a death penalty case. 19 year old Andrew Vrba is charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse in the death of Joseph Steinfeld in September of 2017. Steinfeld went by the name “Ally” and allegedly planned to transition to a female. Steinfeld was stabbed and his body burned. Vrba was in court Monday in Crawford County where the case was moved on a change of venue. Vrba is being held without bond. 2 others were sentenced to time in prison in the case and a fourth defendant, 25 year old Briana Calderas of Cabool is also charged with the crime and wil go to court at a later time.
