Claire McCaskill conceded defeat on Tuesday to state attorney general Josh Hawley, handing Republicans a Senate seat from a state President Donald Trump had visited twice in the week before Election Day to boost the young challenger. Hawley received 51 percent of the vote.
Missouri Congressman Jason Smith won Re-Election Tuesday in District 8 taking 73 perecent of the vote, Challenger Kathy Ellis got 25 percent.

For Governor, Asa Hutchinson was Re-Elected getting 65 percent of the vote, his challenger, Jared Henderson received 32 percent.
For Attorney General, Leslie Rutledge was Re-Elected, with 65 percent of the vote, Mike Lee got 35 percent.
For State Auditor, Andrea Lea got 72 percent of the vote and Larry Williams got 36 percent
For Commissioner of State lands, Tommy land got 59 percent of the vote and Larry Williams received 36 percent.
For Lt Governor, Tim Griffin Received 64 percent, and Anthony Bland got 33 percent.
For Secretary of State, john Thurston got 60 percent of the vote, Susan Inman got 36 percent.
Arkansas voters have added to the state’s constitution a requirement that photo identification be shown in order to cast to a ballot.
Arkansas voters have approved a plan to gradually raise the state’s minimum wage from $8.50 an hour to $11. Voters on Tuesday approved the proposed initiated act, which raises the state’s minimum wage to $9.25 an hour on Jan. 1. The law then raises the wage to $10 an hour on Jan. 1, 2020, and $11 an hour on Jan. 1, 2021.
Arkansas voters have approved a measure legalizing casinos in four counties, including at a horse track and dog track that already offer video poker and other electronic gambling
