The Missouri Department of Conservation say that hunters that kill deer in Oregon County can have the deer tested for chronic wasting disease. Voluntary testing will be done November 10th  and the 11th at the Ozark Regional Office In West Plains and the Alton Forestry Office from 8 am until 8 pm each day. There will also be unmanned drop off locations at the Thayer Police Department, and at the Koshkonong, Thomasville and Rover Volunteer Fire Departments. MDC Officials say hunters may leave just the head of the deer with about 6 inches of the neck in a provided plastic bag with an information sheet. Barrels will also be at their Ozark Regional Office and Alton Forestry office for samples after business hours.   Testing comes after a deer tested positive for CWD in Oregon County . Test results should take about three to four weeks.
