HORSESHOE BEND, AR (December 7, 2018) – Please help the Horseshoe Bend Area Chamber of Commerce congratulate the 2018 Chamber award recipients! This year’s Business of the Year award went to Our Neighborhood Fresh Market. Owner, Russell Tosh, has worked hard to meet community needs and to update and clean up our local store. He also gives generously when asked to support local events.
The Member of the Year was awarded to Betty Curtis. She has done a lot for our community in her years here and does a lot of committee volunteering, participates in the sorority, assists with the garden club, and serves as a Chamber volunteer.
Citizen of the Year was awarded to Earnie Blackley. He donates his time to help others in need and joyfully assists with many community fundraisers. Blackley also volunteers to coordinate, organize and cook at benefits to help those having a hard time.
Volunteer of the Year went to two people this year; Bob and Theresa McCarty. They are always helping to improve Horseshoe Bend, organized the dog park project, raised funds to pay for it and are still working to improve it. They also took on a big job of helping get the Music in the Mountains up and running again.
A special award was presented to Teresa Orrick for more than 11 years of dedicated service to the Horseshoe Bend Area Chamber of Commerce.
