An Independence County man has been accused of soliciting more than $90,000 from a couple with dementia. 80 year old Claudie Gene Simpson was charged with 25 counts of soliciting money or property from incompetents. The crimes started in March of 2015 and continued through November 2017. Simpson was released after posting $40,000 bond. Simpson won $1 million in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery in 2011.
