Today a Special Election is being held in Fulton County. Residents in Fulton County will vote on a one percent Public Safety Sales Tax increase that would go to the Sheriff’s Department. Polls are open from 7:30 am until 7:30 pm
In Lawrence County the election commission has called a public meeting to decide the Ward 3 Position 1 alderman’s race in Hoxie. The Runoff election last Tuesday between Becky Linebaugh and Cliff Farmer ended in a tie. The meeting will be held this Thursday at 11am in the courthouse Lobby in Walnut Ridge . The Election commission will decide the winner by a lot process, meaning it could be a coin flip or rolling of dice.
