Two former jailers in Independence County have been acquitted by a federal grand jury. 27 year old Will Ray and 48 year old Thomas Farris were accused of pepper spraying juvenile detainees. The case was filed after two of their supervisors plead guilty to civil rights violations stemming from the juvenile detention facility in Batesville that houses youth age 5 to 21.
