One person was killed and two people injured in an accident Monday afternoon in Independence County. 57 year old Adalberto Diaz of Mountain View Arkansas was killed and 37 year old Mareeza Diaz and 31 year old Martha Alejandra Jasso both from Mountain View Arkansas were injured when the Vehicles that Mareesa Diaz and Jasso were driving hit head-on in a curve. The accident happened on highway 14 just west of Locust Grove. The injured were taken to White River Medical Center and UAMS.
