The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that New Year’s fatality numbers were up for 2019 compared to 2018.Eight people died on Missouri roads during the 2019 New Year’s counting period which ran from 6 p.m., December 29, 2018 through 11:59 p.m., January 1, 2019. That is one more fatality than the seven killed during the 2018 counting period. Overall, the MSHP investigated 352 crashes. 112 injuries, seven of the eight fatalities and 127 DWI’s.
