Lost River At Silver Dollar City Closed

Silver Dollar City is closing a popular ride to add a new project.

Park officials say it fenced the Lost River of the Ozarks ride for a new project coming in 2020. The park added the fence in December around the ride as work begins to remove it.

We do not know if the new project is a water ride or something much different. That news will come later.

The Lost River of the Ozarks opened May 4, 1985 at a costs of $2 million. The raging rapids ride features a circular boat big enough for six riders. It has been a perfect cool down on a hot, summer day for visitors for years.

In 2018, the park opened the new Time Traveler ride.

Park officials say they are ready for an exciting 2019 season. The new season will feature the “Year of the Shows” festivals. They will include the original mega-production Reuben’s Swashbuckling Adventure and new fall, nighttime experience Pumpkin Nights.
