Razorbacks, Tigers and Red Wolves All Lose & Bears Get a Win This Weekend

COLLEGE BASKETBALL SATURDAY 1-12-19

Naz Reid scored 27 points to lead LSU to a 94-88 overtime win against Arkansas on Saturday. Reid was 4 of 4 from behind the 3-point line and added seven rebounds as the Tigers (12-3, 2-0 SEC) held off a furious second-half Arkansas rally. Marlon Taylor scored 21 for LSU and Tremont Waters added 17. Arkansas (10-5, 1-2) dropped its second straight home game and fourth home game of the season, the most in the Mike Anderson era.

 

Keandre Cook scored five of his seven points in a 55-second span at the end to help complete Missouri State’s rally with a 69-64 win over Bradley Saturday night. Tulio Da Silva led Missouri State (8-9, 2-2 Missouri Valley Conference) with 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting and 13 rebounds and Jarred Dixon scored 15 points.

 

The Arkansas State Red Wolves lost to Troy Saturday in overtime 90-85, The REd Wolves are now 8-9 on the season. Ty Cockfield led ASU with 31 points. The Red Wolves are back in action Thurssday at UT Arlington.

 

The Missouri Tigers had their game at South Carolina Saturday postponed until Sunday because weather hampered travel. It was South Carolina with the win 85-75. The Tigers drop to 9-5 on the season, and 0-2 in the SEC.
