Pocahontas has a new Chief Of Police. Monday Mayor Keith Sutton named David Edington as the new Chief. Edington replaces former Chief Cecil Tackitt who announced his retirement last week after he allegedly heard he was going to be fired by the newly elected mayor. Edington has been working as a criminal investigator with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.
