Cotter Man Disarmed And Arrested BY Baxter County Deputy

A Cotter Arkansas Man was disarmed and arrested Friday  by a Baxter County deputy. According to the Sheriff’s Report, 35 year old Aaron Matthew Tullos was arrested on several felony charges after the Sheriff’s Department received a call complaining about a man seated in a vehicle, brandishing a firearm on Powell Avenue. Deputy Brian Williams responded to the call and found Tullos in the vehicle and he appeared to be asleep. The deputy opened the door and asked Tullos to exit the vehicle. He did as ask, the deputy then asked if he had a firearm, Tullos denied that he had one, but the deputy saw the but of a pistol sticking out of the front waistband of his pants and then disarmed him. Tullos resisted arrest but was taken into custody.  The Firearm and a set of digital scales were seized. Tullos is charged with felony possession of meth, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of a firearm by certain persons, felony simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, felony furnishing prohibited articles, misdemeanor resisting arrest, is also face charges of proximity to certain facilities and enhancement Habitual offender.  Tullos has been arrested 56 times since 2001. His bond was set at $15,000 and he will be in court February 14th.
