A 19 year old Mountain View male was seriously injured in a one vehicle accident Friday south of Birch Tree. According to the Highway Patrol report, Devon Mendenhall was injured when he drove off the road and overturned the truck he was driving and hit a fence. Mendenhall was flown to Mercy Hospital in St Louis. The accident happened on highway 99 about a mile south of Birch Tree.
