Several homes were destroyed Thursday morning in Marion County by what authorities there are saying was a tornado. At least three people were trapped in their homes for a while but they suffered only minor injuries. The Arkansas Department of Transportation, the sheriff’s office, the county road department and the National Park Service, as well as volunteer fire departments and first responders helped clear debris and responded to houses. The Red Cross is asking families affected by the tornado to go to the New Hope Baptist Church.
