A man from Springfield is being held in Texas County on $500,000 bail after he allegedly assaulted a man and his ex girlfriend. 41 year old James Ruark was arrested on charges of first degree assault and domestic assault. Ruark allegedly hit a man in the back of the head with a metal bat and choked and threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend. The man who was hit was taken to Ozarks Medical Center with a head wound. Ruark was arrested in Cabool then transferred to Texas County jail.
