A man from Texas was killed and a Springfield woman suffered serious injuries in a one vehicle accident in Douglas County Friday. The Missouri State highway Patrol reports that 32 year old Daniel Bodrie of Corinth Texas was killed and 30 year old Ashley Kratky of Springfield suffered serious injuries when Kratky drove off the road and struck an embankment with the Nissan Cube she was driving, becoming airborne, hitting a utility pole and overturning then hitting a tree. Kratky was taken to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on highway 14 about 100 yards from the Ava City Limits.
