Authorities in Dent County have now identified who they believe were the two people shot and killed in an apparent murder-suicide near Boss. The Dent County sheriff’s Department reports that the two were brothers and that their mother called 911 about the first shooting. Officers found 42 year old Phillip Dyer dead inside a home then saw the other brother Dennis Dyer inside another home. They surrounded the home and then heard shots then saw smoke coming from the house. after firefighters fought the fire, they found Dennis Dyer dead from a gunshot wound. The Sheriff’s Office is awaiting positive identification from the medical examiner. They believe the fight was over a gun.
