Authorities are reporting that they have now found the body of a missing West Plains man. The Ozark County sheriff’s Darrin Reed says 52 year old Mike Meidell of West Plains was found along Bryant River north of the Tecumseh Bridge. Meidell was reported missing after going fishing on Norfork Lake. The Sheriff says it appears that Meidell was trying to go against the current when his boat flipped and he apparently drowned. the Sheriff expressed his thanks to all the agencies that assisted in the search for Meidell. Including, The Missoouri State Water Patrol, The Missouri Conservation personnel, Tecunseh, Bakersfield and Linn Creek Volunteer Fire Departments.
