
A former Summersville resident and Summersville High School Graduate has been promoted to captain and commanding officer of Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Willow Springs. lieutenant Bruce Fiske from Troop I in Rolla has been promoted. He took over as commanding officer for Troop G, March 1st. Fiske was appointed to the patrol in January of 1996. He was then assigned to Troop G, Howell & Shannon counties. He was promoted to corporal in June of 2001 and designated zone supervisor for Zone 5 in Douglas and Ozark counties. In December of 2002 he transferred to Zone 3 Howell and Shannon Counties. Fiske was promoted to sergeant in September 2003, then promoted to lieutenant in December 2008 and assigned to Troop I in Rolla. He graduated from the FBI National academy in 2017.
